EYES

Eyeliner is not an easy application, it takes most of us a lot of practice. If we do get it just right, recreating that same stroke the next day doesn’t always work out the way we want. Thousands of women & men are enjoying that perfect eyeliner stroke every day.

This permanent makeup procedure lasts between 3-5 years.

Learn below about the different eyeliner options and book a consultation to discuss the perfect technique for your eyes.

Lash Enhancement:

A Lash Enhancement is a thin, tattooed dark eyeliner placed along the lash line. This procedure is the perfect way to create the look of fuller, darker, and thicker lashes!

Tapered Eyeliner:

Tapered Eyeliner is a procedure used to define the eye. The liner will be tattooed thicker starting from the outer portion of the eye and tapers thinner as it fades into the inner corner of the eye. This choice is excellent if you want a more stylized makeup look.

Guyliner:

“Guyliner” eyeliner is tattooed on the lash line to create smokiness to the lashes. The Guyliner will look like tiny dots directly after the initial procedure on the lash line. However, the dots disperse as they heal, leaving you with an attractive, smoky lash line.

Smudgie:

Add a “Smudgie” to your liner! A Smudgie creates a smoky effect to the liner and creates a softness to any liner look! This procedure is for those that want a semi-permanent smoky eye and not just a liner or enhanced lash lines.

Preparing for Your Eyeliner Appointment

Prior to your procedure, avoid these products and medications for at least 7 days:

  • WAspirin
  • WIbuprofen
  • WFish oils

  • WInform your technician of any skin conditions, health issues, allergies, etc.
  • WIf you wear contacts, bring your glasses and a container for the contacts, or simply forego wearing contacts the day of your procedure.
  • WBring sunglasses, as eyes are frequently sensitive after the procedure, and be aware that some redness or light swelling may occur for a couple of days post-procedure.

Eyeliner Aftercare

Throughout the Primary Healing Process (7-10 days):

  • WDirectly following the procedure, use an ice pack at 15-minute intervals to help with swelling as needed
  • WUse only sterile swabs or cotton to dab the skin and remove any moisture as needed
  • WUse only Acetaminophen (e.g., Tylenol) for pain; avoid blood thinners like Aspirin
  • WThroughout the first 7 days, wash your face lightly, with clear, diluted soap and lukewarm water
  • WApply A&D Ointment, Vaseline, or Aquaphor to treated area 2-3 times daily for at least 7 days

Things to Keep in Mind During Healing:

  • WDo NOT vigorously scrub skin when washing
  • WDo NOT use Neosporin (it will draw out pigment and ruin coloration)
  • WDo NOT scratch or pick at scabs (it will draw out pigment and ruin coloration)
  • WDo NOT apply makeup or lotions on or around the treated area
  • WDo NOT sunbathe without sunglasses and avoid using chlorine pools
  • WKeep the treated area as dry from water with a layer of protective ointment on it as much as possible

Eyeliner Healing From Start to Finish

Day 1: Your eyes will experience swelling, redness, and tenderness, similar to if you’d been crying. Avoid using contact lenses and wear sunglasses as needed. You will appear to have a heavy makeup look.

Day 2: Your eyes may experience some remaining swelling, primarily after just waking up. The heavy makeup look will persist.

Day 3: Your eyes will decrease in swelling, and you may experience a feeling of tightness; pigment will begin lifting away from the skin.

Day 4: You may experience a sensation of pinching as pigment continues to lift away from the skin. (Do NOT pick!)

Day 5: Excess pigment will be removed due to blinking eye movements, the remaining pigment lifting away almost entirely by this day. The color will appear grayish as it continues to heal, and the full color will take some more days to become more visible.
